Pasted in the volume are: a rebus puzzle on the places of England, printed illustrations some with embossed or lace printed borders, and chromolithographs of English Kings from die-cut scrap sheets are on the rectos of leaves following the recipes. A Japanese print of butterflies with text is pasted on one leaf. The volume is chiefly written in the hand of Stockley in addition to at least one other hand. The letter P is written on the spine in black ink. The stationer's label of F. B. Spiller is pasted on the inside front cover.
