The Ray Evans papers comprise materials documenting his career as the lyricist for the songwriting team of Livingston and
Evans. The collection contains correspondence, sheet music, lyrics and scripts, press clippings, audio and visual recordings,
photographs, programs, awards, memorabilia, and art work. Also included are personal mementoes, including some from his time
as an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania.

Reverend Shojo Honda 本田正静 (1929-2015) was a priest of the Shin (Jōdo Shinshū) sect of Buddhism, and a former reference librarian
at the Library of Congress in the Asian Division’s Japanese Section. After his death in 2015, Honda’s library was donated
to the University of Pennsylvania Libraries by Tamon Honda. Rev. Honda’s collection reflects both his interests and his life’s
work, with many books on Buddhist (particularly Shin Buddhist) philosophy and ritual, Indian philosophy and world religions,
world history and Japanese local history, Japanese literature, and Sanskrit and English language study. Within many of these
books were handwritten notes, correspondence, photocopies, and clippings, mostly serving as bookmarks. In addition to these
inserts, the Rev. Honda Shojo Collection includes several folders and boxes of archival and ephemeral material. These disparate
materials have been collected and organized as the Rev. Shojo Honda Papers.

Rudolf Serkin (1903-1991) was an American classical pianist known as one of the 20th century’s greatest soloists and for fostering
a vibrant culture of chamber music via the Marlboro Music School and Festival. The papers consist mainly of materials collected
by Serkin himself (including his personal correspondence, performance records, papers relating to Marlboro, Curtis Institute
of Music, and the Institute for Young Performing Musicians) as well as a small amount of related material added by his wife
and his biographers.

Terence E. Carroll (1925-2009) was a public health advocate active in Detroit and Washington, D.C. He worked for the Michigan
Credit Union League, the League Life Insurance Company, the National Institute on Rehabilitation and Health Services, the
Comprehensive Health Planning Council of Southeastern Michigan, Public Health Information Services, and the National Association
for Public Health Policy. The collection consists of personal materials, personal and professional correspondence, material
on affiliated public health organizations, writings and speeches by Carroll and others, and photographs of Carroll's professional
life.
