The Alexian Brothers are a Roman Catholic religious order devoted to the care of the sick. This collection consists of photocopies of historical information and records regarding the Alexian Brothers Hospital in Chicago, established 1866.

Allan Wayne Solomonow (born 1937) is a Jewish peace activist who was active in New York City and the San Francisco Bay area from the 1970s through the 2010s. His particular concern was Middle East peace, especially the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This collection documents Solomonow's life's work and primarily comprise his professional papers related to the Jewish peace community as well as collected secondary material that informed his thinking.

This collection consists of two parts: records of the alumnae association in the period of Mercy Hospital and records of the organization under its present name. It complements the Mercy-Douglass Hospital records (MC 78) in that the latter are exclusively hospital and school records organically created before the hospital closed in 1973. The alumnae association collection contains historical accounts of the hospital and the school as prepared by the alumni, minutes of alumni meetings, programs of various kinds of activities the association sponsored, newsletters, correspondence, clippings, and material the association collected of other organizations.

This collection contains materials documenting the development of nursing and nurse alumni groups at institutions founded by Jewish benevolent groups and organizations in Philadelphia from the 1890s through the 1990s. The historical material includes minutes, reports, administrative files, artifacts, and photographs depicting nursing and nurse education. These materials primarily concern three establishments which were merged to form the Albert Einstein Medical Center in 1952: the Jewish Hospital, established 1867; the Mt. Sinai Hospital, established in 1905; and the Northern Liberties Hospital established in 1920. (It should be noted that there are no significant records of the Northern Liberties Hospital in this collection.)

This collection contains records and other materials relating to the Society of the Alumni Association of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.

This collection consists of papers, administrative records, artifacts, and photographs that document many operational aspects of the Alumnae Association of the Philadelphia General Hospital. Of note are the personal papers of Alice Fisher.

This collection documents one of the largest and most active American Legion nurses' posts: the Helen Fairchild Nurses' Post No. 412 of Philadelphia. In its heyday, the Fairchild Post engaged in a multitude of community activities, and enjoyed a large membership base. These files provide a glimpse of the long and eventful history of the Post, beginning in 1919 and continuing to 1989.

This collection contains correspondence and administrative records supplementing the main collection of records, focusing on the 1980s and 1990s, with detailed records on committee activities and publications. Several officers of the AMS figure prominently in the collection. The supplementary records overlap chronologically and should be used in conjunction with Ms. Coll. 221, American Musicological Society Records.

The Andrew G. Curtin Association of Army Nurses was composed of Philadelphia-area nurses who served in the Civil War. This collection documents the activities of the Association from its founding until the close of its minutes in 1903.

The Association of Community Health Nursing Educators (ACHNE) works to identify and explore issues and policy relevant to public health nursing graduate education, including creating recommendations and assisting in the development of quality graduate education programs, and to stimulate research in community health and public health nursing. These records include meeting minutes of board and annual meetings, organizational materials such as by-laws, membership lists, financial records, membership mailings, presentations and papers, correspondence, and publications.

The Athens County Visiting Nurse Association is a rural visiting nurse association in Athens, Ohio. This collection consists of administrative and patient records.

The Sigerist Circle, organized in 1990, is a group of health-left medical historians, as well as scholars and other supporters interested in the history of health care and the biomedical sciences; with special interest in the issues of class, race, and gender. This collection contains correspondence, minutes and agendas, and publications of the Sigerist Circle, dating from 1991 to 2003.

This collection documents the Brandywine Home Health Agency, Inc. from its inception through its subsequent growth during social, environmental, and legislative changes. As a non-profit volunteer agency, BHHA was conscious of its responsibility to foster innovative and relevant programs. Thus as health needs and technology evolved, it progressed accordingly. Over time, it became a multi-service agency delivering three categories of service: therapeutic, supportive, and preventative. The material in this collection covers all facets of these services and includes records of administration, financial, program services, and public relations.

The Chestnut Hill Hospital School of Nursing Records consist of 20.45 linear feet of hospital records, school administration records, faculty and student files, yearbooks, photographs, and some artifacts. The records extend from the school's creation in 1908 until its closing in 1987. The collection comprehensively documents the growth of a suburban community hospital nurse training program.

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia was one of the earliest pediatric hospitals to open a training school for nurses. This collection consists of materials relating to the Hospital, the School of Nursing, and the School of Nursing Alumnae Assocation. It includes administrative records, student files, and photographs.

David Mendelssohn (1915-1999) was a Jewish-American soldier during World War II. This collection documents in a limited way his service during World War II, probably stateside, from his draft to his discharge.

The Hedgerow Theatre Company was established in 1923 by Jasper Deeter, a New York based actor and director. Located in the Rose Valley Arts and Crafts Community of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, Hedgerow holds the distinction as the longest serving Repertory Theatre in America. The Hedgerow Theatre Company records contains a wide variety of materials, from business records and show materials to member ephemera and photographs. The collection provides both a practical and intimate look into the workings of this repertory theatre.

This unprocessed collection contains the records of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, School of Nursing. It primarily consists of administrative files such as reports, minutes, memos, correspondence, and handbooks and manuals, among other materials.

Originally established in 1950 as the National Society for the Study of Communication, the International Communication Association (ICA) has grown to be the largest worldwide academic organization devoted to the systematic study of communication. The collection is composed primarily of administrative records created and/or collected by various officers from 1946 to 2016, and serves to document the association’s development over the years. Materials include correspondence, board meeting minutes and reports, bylaws and constitutions, conference proceedings, division records, financial records, membership records, and publication records.

During the post war years of World War 2, the International Council of Nurses provided a means of establishing and verifying credentials for over 3,000 displaced nurses throughout the world. This collection contains the ICN's nurse refugee files.

The International Council on Women's Health Issues is a network of researchers, clinicians, community health workers, and educators working to promote women's health around the globe. This collection primarily contains documents regarding the Council's Congresses from the 1980s-2000s.
