This collection includes citations for books on catechism, the Book of Common Prayer, the Imitation of Christ, the history and origins of languages, introductions to and grammar of various languages, vocabulary of and comparative dictionaries on various languages, and the Bible and Christian texts in every language and dialect into which translations had been made by the 1860s. Citations for books printed as early as 1507 and as late as 1868 are included in the collection. This collection is primarily written in English, German, and French, but references books written in over 200 languages.

Helen Godey Wilson (1879-1937) was an avid book collector and the granddaughter of Lewis A. Godey, publisher of Godey's Lady's Book. This collection contains an alphabetical catalog of William McFee (1881-1966) books owned by Wilson, written in her own hand, along with a letter from McFee to Wilson, a bibliographic checklist of McFee's first editions, sales lists of William McFee books from various booksellers, and a biographical sketch of McFee by Harry E. Maule. These items date roughly between 1920 and 1937.

The revised edition of this book was published in 1963, after Teerink’s death, and was titled, A Bibliography for the Writings of Jonathan Swift.
