This site brings together finding aids for manuscript and archival research materials held by the Archives at the Library of the Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies,
the Biddle Law Library, the
Rare Book & Manuscript Library, and the
University of Pennsylvania Museum Archives.
A supplement to Penn's online catalog Franklin, this compendium provides detailed inventories as well as administrative and descriptive information for collections of personal
papers,
institutional records, and primary source materials compiled around a particular subject or medium. Discovery through faceted
searching can be limited to a single repository or include all participating repositories.
Printer-friendly as well as PDF versions of the finding aids are available from the site.
This union catalog presents finding aids and not facsimiles of manuscripts, images, and other archival materials. Unless
specifically noted, the holdings described within the guides are physically available in the respective reading rooms of the
participating repositories, and not digitally available through the web.
Some archival repositories at Penn that do not currently participate in this site include the
Architectural Archives, the
Barbara Bates Center for the Study of the History of Nursing, the
Pennsylvania Hospital Archives, and the
