Currently, we scan at 300dpi and create archival TIFF files from which compressed Mr.Sid images are made. The resulting file size will correspond to the size of the reproduction. Images are scanned on an Epson Expression 1640XL flatbed scanner.
If the images you need are available through a vendor, please email us with the vendor's contact information along with detailed information about the specific images you would like ordered. Provided the images fall within our Collection Development Policy, we will work with the vendor to acquire them.
Digital Image Access
Digital images are available in our Online Image Catalog. The catalog is available to faculty, students and staff at Penn. When accessing the catalog from off-campus, users must proxy into the catalog using their PennKey.
If you need the archival TIFF files, please let us know. We will burn the requested images to a CD for you.
