Object Details:
1 photograph : b&w ; 25.4 x 17.5 cm ( 10 x 7 in).
Photograph is in a book with a description beneath ; printed description: "(Deut., x: 12-22.)--'And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,' etc. Above we have a picture of the Greek Church in Nazareth, the city of our Savior. This can be very aptly placed in connection with this portion of the Word of God concerning the importance of the Law, for without Jesus Christ the Law cannot be obeyed, for 'what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit.' The Greek Church in Nazareth is just above St. Mary's Well, where the Mother of Jesus often came to draw water." See 5208BAI/LVi126CAJS (Voyager # 359231)
