that constituted the center of Jewish life and history and worship. It was in the temple that the Jews were taught the knowledge
of one God, and by means of the rites and ceremonies and symbols of the temple they were trained into their conception of
God and man's duty to obey him, that made them a peculiar people. It is a sad reflection that upon this historic place should
now stand a place of worship dedicated to one God, it is true but where there is no longer taught that man is under obligation
