Photograph is in a book with a description beneath ; printed description: "(Isaiah, xl: 9.)--'O Zion, that bringest good tidings,
get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up,
be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God.' The Mosque of Omar stands upon the site of the Holy Temple
that constituted the center of Jewish life and history and worship. It was in the temple that the Jews were taught the knowledge
of one God, and by means of the rites and ceremonies and symbols of the temple they were trained into their conception of
God and man's duty to obey him, that made them a peculiar people. It is a sad reflection that upon this historic place should
now stand a place of worship dedicated to one God, it is true but where there is no longer taught that man is under obligation
to love as himself his brother man." Copyright year and photographer's name are printed at the bottom of the photograph,
along with "Franklin Co Eng-Chi." See 5104BAI/LVi22CAJS (Voyager #356630)
