Late Vedic work; a collection of words grouped into thematic categories, with some brief annotations; a kind of glossary or thesaurus; five sections (adhyāya); groups of similes, synonyms, metonyms, etc. dealing with the natural world, human physiology, as well as epithets of gods and goddesses.

Title from title page (f. 1r); alternate title Naighaṇṭa from back title page (f. 21v).
Written 7 lines per leaf.
21 leaves foliated 1-21, upper left and lower right verso.
Incipit: gmā / jmā / kṣmā / kṣā / kṣamā / kṣoṇī / kṣitiḥ / (f. 1v).
Colophon: iti nighaṃṭāpaṃcamodhyāyaḥ // 5 // śrīkāśīviśveśvarāyanamaḥ // śrīrastu // (f. 21r).
Accented in red; significant symbols, words, and phrases highlighted in red; marginal corrections by different hand, some in pencil; double vertical lines in red mark margins.
