354 leaves : paper ; 219 x 152 (174 x 118) mm. bound to 227 x 170 mm.
Commentary on Aristotle's Nichomachean ethics, Oeconomica, and Politics, followed by a table of contents.
Ms. codex.
Title from caption title (f. 4r); earliest date based on the engraving of Marie-Therese as queen of France.
Pagination: Paper, i (contemporary paper) + 354 + i (contemporary paper); 1-137, 238-437, [iii], 461-490, 489-608, 607-630, 630-631, 631-734, 733-746, 748-749, 749-806; contemporary pagination in ink; [xiv, 1-694]; modern pagination in pencil, upper outer corners.
Script: Written in a cursive script by what appears to be a single hand.
Decoration: Empty full-page engraved historiated/vignette title frame of a large wreath (f. 1r); full-page engraved portraits of Louis XIV and Marie-Therese (f. 2v-3r) with historiated frames, crests, and short biographical texts. Outer margins of frames and bottom lines of text were lost in trimming.
Binding: Contemporary mottled calf, gilt ornamentation on spine.
Origin: Written in France after 1660.
