Text from the last section (uttarakāṇḍa) of the Adhyātmarāmāyaṇa, chapter five, a conversation between Rāma and his brother Lakṣmaṇa where Rāma propounds the merits of knowledge over that of action (karma); contains a Marathi commentary running parallel (above and below) the main Sanskrit text.

32 leaves foliated 1-32, upper left and lower right verso.
Colophon: śrịrāmalakṣmaṇaprasann // śake 1743 vṛṣanāmasaṃvatsare kārtikaśuklāṣṭamyāṃ śṛguvāsaradinedaṃ pustakaṃ samāptaṃ // bāpaṭ ity upanāmakaviṣṇuṃbhaṭṭena likhitam // (f. 32r).
Dated śake 1743 (1821) (f. 32r).
Mistakes blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; vertical margins marked with double red line; floral pattern on front cover (f. 1r).
Scribe is Viṣṇubhaṭṭa Bāpaṭ (f. 32r), a name common in Maharashtra.
