Text used in public or private recitation and prayer, employing mantras in worship (pūjā), devoted to listing one thousand names of the Hindu deity Śiva, such as Sadāśiva, Śarva, Jagatkartṛ, and Maheśa among others.
Title from colophon (f. 15v).
Written in 9 lines per leaf.
15 leaves foliated 1-15, upper left and lower right verso.
Colophon: iti śivasahasranāmāvalīsamāptā // śubhaṃ bhūyāt // pātharakara ity upanāmakaviśvanāthabhaṭṭāḥ sutasya lakṣmaṇasyedaṃ pustakaṃ śrībhairavārpaṇam astu // saṃvat 1850 śāke 1715 caitraśuddha 15 budhe (f. 15v).
Dated saṃvat 1850 śāke 1715 caitraśuddha 15 (Thursday, April 25, 1793 A.D.) (f. 15v).
