Physical description:
1 item (45 leaves) : paper ; 10 x 25 cm.
Manuscript employed for consultation and recitation; praises the month of Mārgaśīrṣa (November-December), when the moon enters into the constellation of Mṛgaśiras. Presented as a conversation between the Hindu deities Kṛṣṇa and Brahmā.
Title from colophon (f. 44v).
Written in 8-9 lines per leaf.
45 leaves foliated 1-44, [i] upper left and lower right verso.
Colophon: iti śrīskaṃdapurāṇe mārgaśīrṣamāhātmye ṣoḍśodhyāyā 16 mārgaśīrṣamāhātmasaṃpūrṇam astu / śrīkāśiviśveśvarārpaṇam astu saṃvat 1876 śake 1741 vikrutināmasa[ṃ]vatsare pauṣakṛṣṇa 13 somyavāsare / (f. 43v).
Dated saṃvat 1875 (1818) (f. 44r), saṃvat 1876 and śaka 1741 (1819) (f. 43v).
Mistakes blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins. Decorative border desin in black (f. 44r).
