Summary:
Manuscript is used for public or private recitation or prayer and worship (pūjā), venerating and praising a thousand names associated with the Hindu deity Śiva. Manuscript is part of a larger work known as the Śivarahasya. Presented as a discourse between Hara (Śiva) and his son Kumāra (known also as Kārttikeya). Originally contained two paintings, which have been cut out from the front (f. 1) and back (f. 13) folios.

Written in 6-8 lines per leaf.
13 leaves foliated 1-13, upper left and lower right verso.
Colophon: iti śrī śivarahasye harakumārasaṃvāde śivamukhyasaha[sra]nāmastotraṃ samāptaṃ // śubham astu // saṃvat 1728 samayaśravaṇaśuddha 10 likhitaṃ rūpaṇimiśreṇa likhāpitaṃ vāmanagirimvārthaṃ parārthaṃ // śrīrastu maṃgalaṃ lekhakānāṃ vapāṭakānāṃvamaṃgalaṃ // maṃgalaṃ sarvalokānāṃ bhūmau bhūpatimaṃgalam (f. 13r).
Dated saṃvat 1728 (1671) (f. 13r).
Mistakes blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; some significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in red; vertical margins marked with single broad red line and two thin black lines. Borders of two miniature paintings that have been cut out (f. 1, 13) remain.
Some folios are blue colored.
