Summary:
A history of ancient kings and kingdoms around the Mediterranean and in Asia. Some of the sections are based upon the Roman historian Justinus' work, and act as a commentary to Justinus.

Pagination: Paper, 131 leaves; [i-x], 1-227, [228-262]; contemporary pagination in ink, modern pagination in pencil, upper right recto.
Script: Written in a cursive book hand by Cornelius ab Overmeer (p. 248).
Decoration: Later bookplate with initials BVH inside upper cover and coat of arms; floral and vine motif stamped on covers is repeated in ink on title page.
Binding: Contemporary gilt calf (Zacour-Hirsch).
Origin: Written in the Netherlands (Zacour-Hirsch), 1713 (p. 248).
