Manuscript used in private or public recitation and prayer in praise of the Hindu goddess Śītalā, the matron-deity presiding over smallpox. Reciting the text offers relief for fever, sick children, and other kinds of afflictions.
Scribe is Moreśvara Sāṭhe (f. 1v).
Title from colophon (f. 1v).
Written in 10-11 lines per leaf.
1 leaf foliated 1, upper left and lower right verso.
Colophon: iti śrīskaṃdapurāṇe śītalāṣṭakaṃ stotraṃ saṃpūrṇaṃ // cha // śrīśītalādevyainamana idaṃ pustakaṃ moreśvarasāṭhe ity upanāmakena // (f. 1v).
