Manuscript begins with the third adhyāya of the Śivarayasya, a purāṇic-style work. Text highlights the veneration of Śiva through ritual, prayer and reference to pilgrimage (especially to Kāśī, the city of Vārāṇasī). Manuscript contains four short supplementary works after the main text that are summations and brief commentary-like illuminations of the Śivarahasya such as the Śivarahasyasāraprakāśa (Part 5).

Colophon: iti śrīsahasrabudhyupākṛvināyakasūrisūnusadāśivolītaśivarahasyasāraprakāśaḥ // śake 1772 māghakṛṣṇa daśamī // (Part 5, f. 4v).
Dated śaka 1774 (1862) (Part 5, f. 4v).
Watermarks of some kind of coat of arms on some folios in the first half of the text.
Mistakes blacked out; numerous corrections and additions in margins; significant words and phrases highlighted in red.
