Manuscript, in an unidentified hand, originally in two volumes but now bound together in a single volume. A note in pencil on the first page describes the content as "Brief notices of foreign countries and their products" (Volume 1, f. 1r).

Title from cover. No title piece (daisen) present. Added romanized caption title, Go Ji Ryaku (note in pencil, Volume 1, f. 1r).

On double leaves (fukurotoji).

Collation: Paper, i (20th-century) + original upper cover + i + 36 double leaves + original lower cover + original upper cover + 42 double leaves + original lower cover + i (20th century).

Binding: Modern (20th century) cloth.

Origin: Written in Japan in 1715 (Volume 2, f. 42v).
