Summary:
Manuscript used for public or private recitation and prayer or study, praising the deeds of the Hindu mythological figure Dhaumya, a legendary sage and poet, who instructs his beleaguered pupil Upamanya. Dhaumya sends his student, who is possessed of a great hunger for food, on a number of tasks in the form of observances to help him over come his desires.

Dated śaka 1791 and saṃvat 1926 (1869) (f. 15r).
Mistakes crossed out in black or red; verse numbers highlighted in red throughout; vertical margins marked with thick red line; cover page decorated with floral pattern within an inner rectangle framed by thick red lines (f. 1r).
Scribe is Jagannātha Bhaṭa Pāṭaka, the son of Viṭala Bhaṭa Pāṭaka (f. 15r).
