Abstract:
The Holland School at Curren Terrace in Norristown, Pennsylvania opened around 1930 as the Martha Holland Day School. As of 2012, the Holland School was still operating as Tot Time Child Development Center. The Holland School scrapbooks, 1931-1976, consist of scrapbooks put together by classes, with thank-you notes to teachers, photographs, and descriptions of and ephemera from class trips. There are also some loose newspaper clippings and greeting cards in the collection, as well as three notebooks from class secretaries.

Biography/History

The Martha Holland Day School at Curren Terrace in Norristown, Pennsylvania opened around 1930, offering kindergarten, primary, and elementary schooling. By 1950, its name was shortened to the Holland School, and it was billed as "A Modern School for Boys and Girls from Nursery School and Kindergarten through the Sixth Grade, recognizing individual differences." As of 2012, the Holland School was still operating as Tot Time Child Development Center.

This collection consists of scrapbooks put together by classes, with thank-you notes to teachers, photographs, and descriptions of and ephemera from class trips. There are also some loose newspaper clippings and greeting cards in the collection, as well as three notebooks from class secretaries.
