Biography/History

In 1834-1835, Pennsylvania's Common School Law set up a general system of public schools throughout the commonwealth. It wasn't until 1852, however, that Limerick's first public school district formed. One hundred years later, in 1955, Limerick became part of the Spring-Ford Area School District, along with Upper Providence Township, Royersford Borough (Montgomery County), and Spring City Borough (Chester County).
