Biography/History

Warren K. Schlotterer (1881-1968) lived and operated a jewelry shop in Schwenksville, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He was a local historian and genealogist who served as the Schwenksville town historian and, in 1936, published A Genealogical Reference Record of the Descendants of Dielman Kolb.

Scope and Contents

This collection includes papers from Warren K. Schlotterer's family, as well as materials collected by him on local history topics focused around Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. Subjects covered include Pennsylvania Dutch religions and churches, Montgomery County schools, and other local history topics. The bulk of the material is newspaper clippings, but there are also some original manuscripts collected by Schlotterer, as well as postcards, trade cards, calling cards, and other kinds of ephemera. There is a significant amount of newspaper clippings and ephemera relating to local railroads, including maps, timetables, and tickets.
