Biography:
Anne is responsible for collection development and outreach to the Department of Psychology, and for bringing evidence-based analysis to decision-making about the library's collections. Prior to her position at the Penn Libraries, Anne worked as a Social Science Subject Librarian and Faculty Engagement Librarian at Binghamton University Libraries; during her seven years at Binghamton, she had liaison and collection development responsibilities for the areas of Social Work, Human Development, Anthropology, and Africana Studies. Anne's previous work experience also includes time as a library graduate assistant at the Florida Mental Health Research Institute, a Quality Control Specialist at the Center for the Study of International Language and Culture, as well as a Community Health Peace Corps volunteer from 2005 until 2007. While serving with the Peace Corps in Togo, West Africa, she acquired an intermediate level of French. Anne earned an M.A. from Binghamton University in Anthropology, an M.A. from the University of South Florida in Library and Information Science, and a B.S. from the University of Delaware in Human Services. Her research focus over the past several years has been on communities of practice especially as it relates to how people learn.
