Biography:
Patty oversees teaching and research services in the Fisher Fine Arts Library, which includes developing and implementing a suite of library programs and services, course integrated instruction, and project-based research support. She is also involved in collection development, and she collaborates in the Critical Writing Program, as well as providing virtual reference services and GIS support for PennDesign. Before coming to Penn, Patty served as Reference and Instruction Librarian at Yale's Haas Family Arts Library, following a nine-month appointment as the Samuel H. Kress Fellow in Art Librarianship. While at Yale, Patty curated "'Illuminated Printing': William Blake and the Book Arts," for the Haas Arts Special Collections. She also worked in the Yale Center for British Art research library where she developed a collection of historic British photography materials. As an educator, Patty taught art history and art appreciation in Kentucky and Indiana, and served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Andorra. She holds a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Art in Art History degree from the University of Louisville's Hite Art Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bellarmine University.
