Photograph is in a book with a description beneath ; printed description: "(Numbers, xxiv:17.)--Balaam's Prophecy of Christ:
'I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall
rise out of Israel.' Just a little way from Nazareth as you pass toward Cana of Galilee, you reach a little village where
there is a fountain and an ancient sarcophagus. These sarcophagi, found in many places in Palestine, are said to date from
the time of the Romans. This picture is given here because it illustrates a scene in the neighborhood of Nazareth, often passed
over by Christ when he was a boy. It illustrates the prophecy by Balaam which refers to Christ. This is a characteristic scene.
We have the thorny cactus, the olive trees, the donkey and the little Arab boy." Copyright year and photographer's name are
printed at the bottom of the photograph, along with "Franklin Co Eng-Chi." See 5399BAI/LVii125CAJS (Voyager # 362247)
