Photograph is in a book with a description beneath ; printed description: "(Acts, vii:21.)--'And when he was cast out, Pharoah's
daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.'--Acts, vii:21. We are told that the mother of Moses took an ark
of bulrushes and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put her child into it, and laid the ark with the child in the flags
by the brink of the Nile. It has been supposed that this place on the Nile was on the Island of Rhoda. Every tourist who goes
to Cairo will have his attention called to this beautiful island in the Nile as the point in the river where Moses was concealed.
The boats we see are wheat boats which have come from far into the interior of Egypt, loaded with wheat to sell in Cairo.
The island is in the western suburbs of Cairo." See 5309BAI/LVii35CAJS (Voyager # 360980)
