Photographer's signature at lower left; attached description: "The King's Pavilion formed the private apartments of Rameses
III. It is three stories in height, and surrounds a small court in the shape of a cross. The interior sculptures describe
the monarch in his harem; he alone sits, the ladies stand; they give him flowers, fan him, or amuse him at draughts. The half
shield-shaped battlements surmounted the whole course of the Pavilion."
