Photocopy is mounted on a sheet of Lazard's stationery; the title, series number (1082) and location are printed below; printed description : "Almost buried in the sand is the broken obelisk, which never left the quarry. These quarries were not deserted for those at Philae till the reigns of Severus and Caracalla. In the dip between the hills lies the Arab cemetery; the dates of the Cuphic inscriptions vary from the 10th to the 15th century."
